Edgar Blues is a guitar player and singer born in Barcelona in 1988. He got his first guitar at the age of 14. When he was 19, he met Demian Domínguez, who then became his guitar teacher for many years.

Edgar started organizing tours for the Demian Band and after a few years he also joined as bass player. In 2016, he became the opening act of their shows in Europe and presented his solo project made up of covers and songs of his own.
He released his homonymous EP in 2019, which includes five representative covers of that time.

In 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, he formed the Edgar Blues Trio with Rua Roan on bass guitar and Aritza Castro on the drums and recorded his first electric LP The Next Step, released in January 2021.

The album is achieving great success in Europe. It reached number one on the best-selling albums’ chart in Spain and stayed there a whole week, and it still is among the top positions of the Blues genre chart. In the UK, it was in the top twenty best-selling albums and in the top ten of most played records on Blues radio stations. There have been several special radio programmes dedicated to the album in countries such as Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and Poland.

Music magazines like This Is Rock are publishing very positive reviews on The Next Step.

Obviously, the pandemic stopped all plans for live shows, but new dates have already been scheduled before the end of 2021.
